Annual LGBTQ Youth Pride Picnic
2-6 pm @ Tonsler Park

LGBTQ youth of all ages, their parents, and LGBTQ families welcome to a potluck picnic with free food, games, merchandise, and local resources for a fun day of friendship and community.

FIRST 100 YOUTH GET FREE SHIRTS & OTHER MERCHANDISE!

Special Film Screening: Weekend

Vinegar Hill Theatre @ 3pm

Directed by Andrew Haigh, creator of the HBO original series, “Looking” and the director of “45 Years,” and “Lean on Pete,” “Weekend” follows Russell, who after a drunken house party with his straight mates, heads out to a gay club. Just before closing time he picks up Glen, but what’s expected to be just a one-night stand becomes something else, something special.

This screening is presented in partnership with Cville Pride and Allison Partners, and will be followed by a discussion with Andre Cavalcante, assistant professor of Media Studies and Women, Gender and Sexuality at UVA.

FREE Pride dance and choreography workshop! For everyone performing in the Pavilion’s Pride Fest line-up, or for anyone at all who embraces the queer or drag performance arena, The Hip Joint is providing lifelong dancers and studio instructors from a variety of styles to be entirely at your disposal.

Even if you’re already an incredible dancer, there’s magnificent benefits to attending! Presented by The Hip Joint (also a vendor at the festival!).

This special storytime is offered in partnership with the Charlottesville Pride Festival. Celebrate the beautiful diversity in all of our families with stories, songs, and dance. Create a rainbow craft that you can take to the festival where you can add more decorations. Best for families with children ages 7 and under, but everyone is welcome.
