Cville's LGBTQ Community Connection

Last night, during the public hearing (and first reading) of the proposed antidiscrimination ordinance and human rights commission, the Council added in language about sexual orientation and gender identity that had previously been absent.

This is a huge step. Doing this could invite a challenge from the state.

As Dave Norris, one of the councillors said, “Let’s do it. If it gets challenged, so be it.”

Email the city council NOW and tell them thank you for showing enough courage to do the right thing.
